Website of the Project: Middle High German dictionaries in a network

Between 1997 and 2002, the “Middle High German Dictionary” by Georg Friedrich Benecke, Wilhelm Müller and Friedrich Zarncke (= BMZ, 1854–1866), the “Middle High German Concise Dictionary” by Matthias Lexer (1872–1878) including its supplements and the “Findebuch zum Mittelhochdeutschen Wortschatz ”(1986–1992) have been retro-digitized, marked in XML and published in the network both on the Internet and on CD-ROM.

The digital dictionary network ideally maps the reference structure already present in the printed dictionaries and also offers a sophisticated search system for all four dictionaries.
